How much is too much?

Nikkia, Our budget is $5000 too, could you please give me some names?

my fiance and i made a conscious choice in the beginning what our budget was going to be, and its $5000, our reasons for doing so is, that we did not want to be in debt over one big party because thats what it is when you think about it, we wanted it to be something we can pay for and have it paid off, and realistically thats what we can afford besides the practicallity of it chris and i just wanted to live our life after the wedding and spend our money on our lives and home, save for our future. Dont get me wrong i want it to be a beautiful day and it will be, believe me its not easy bc you see something you always want that could make the day that much better but what you need to ask yourself is where is your priority? can you afford a $25000 wedding, are you guys looking into the future? If you have the money sure go ahead and have a lavish wedding if you dont, it doesnt hurt to shop around and spend your money more wisely. In regards to our budget the wedding is coming together beautifully. of course some areas in our bidget got out of hand for example the decorations, had no idea they would be close to a grand, along with our wedding day pictures, the price tag on those are outrageous lol but that only meant we had to skimp on the budget in other areas. i would reccommend that you and your fiance come together and agree on how much money you both want to spend, and work within the confines of that. you would be surprised when you tell the vendors your budget how most of them are willing to work with you because they want your business and the ones that dont, arent worth your business, and those kinds of vendors are out there. If you want any referrals i will be more than happy to give you some names![sunshine]

girl that is way 2 much my total wedding cost is 10,000 I only paid 1,000 for the site it is a huge room, we are renting a hall on campus at our local universty
